You Are Not Lazy 🌱

You Just Need A System. 📒

Stop Wondering What You Should Be Practicing Next.

There’s so much material out there… it’s kind of crazy.

You can spend hours jumping from one exercise to the next, always wondering:
Is this the right thing? Should I be practicing something else?

And before you know it, you’re stuck — not because you’re not practicing,
but because you’re constantly second-guessing what to practice.

But honestly?
It’s not really about the material.

What actually makes the difference is how you practice.

In this course, I’m sharing my favorite exercises, plus the tips and tricks I use myself and with my students — so you can finally build a practice routine that feels clear, focused, and actually moves you forward. 🎸

presenting:

the jazz guitar practice system

an 8-week online course starting on May 1st, 2026

  1. Every Friday, you’ll receive a new practice plan with 3 short videos — each one explaining a single exercise, so you know exactly what to practice and how to approach it. You can choose the exercises that fit your level, your focus, and your time.
  2. On Wednesdays, 07:30 - 08:30 PM CEST we meet live and play through the exercises together — applying them in a musical way and working through any questions that come up.
  3. On Thursdays, it’s time to show your playing — you’ll post a video (or audio) based on that week’s exercises in the community, and I’ll share mine too. No live session — just doing the work, sharing it, and moving forward. 🎸

👉 This is how it works:

  • The live Zoom session takes place on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM (CEST) — you’ll receive the link on the same day.
  • The course is limited to 8 participants.
  • There will be a short onboarding call (10–20 minutes) in the week before the course starts — just to make sure everything works technically and for me to get to know you a little bit 🙂
  • You’ll get lifetime access to all materials, so you can revisit everything even after the course has ended.
  • Plan to practice 20–40 minutes per day.

Week 1 : Warm-Up

This is where we take it slow, open up our ears, and really start to hear how we sound. We focus on playing legato — and why this is one of the things that truly separates great players from everyone else.

Week 2 : Timing + Rhythm

Let’s dive into subdivisions, time feel, and yes… the metronome 😬
I’ll show you some new ways to practice with it — so it doesn’t feel like your enemy anymore.

Week 3 : Get Faster Faster

Yay — playing fast is fun.
But even if speed isn’t your goal, solid technique gives you the freedom to express yourself without limitations.

Week 4 : Improvisation

How do we actually practice improvisation?
It can be tricky — because where’s the line between just noodling and actually learning something?

Week 5 : Understanding the Fretboard

Yes — this takes work. There’s no real shortcut.
But I’ll give you new approaches and ways of thinking that make the fretboard easier to understand and actually usable in your playing.

Week 6 : Transcription & Chord Melody

How do we actually work on transcriptions and chord melody arrangements?
It’s such an interesting topic — but how can we practice it in a way that really helps us grow and make the most of it?

Week 7 : Working on Tunes

I’ll show you how I approach a new tune — from practicing the song and learning the melody, to really internalizing the chord progression.

We’ll also talk about how to choose the right tunes to work on, and how to know when it’s time to move on to the next one.

Week 8 : Never Give Up

So… what now? What’s the next step in your guitar journey?

We’ll talk about how to understand your own learning process — and how to stay curious, open, and motivated as you keep growing.

🎯 This program is probably not for you if…

....you’re looking for shortcuts
or hoping you can improve by practicing less.

If you’re not willing to put in the work —
and to stay with it consistently none of the exercises i´ll show you will help you.

Because real progress takes effort.

But it’s not just about working harder —
it’s about working in the right way.

Hi!

I’m Tina, a jazz guitar player from Berlin. I’ve been playing and studying jazz guitar for many years — in Amsterdam, Paris, and Hamburg — taking countless lessons and playing many sessions along the way.

And still, for a long time, I felt stuck. Not because I didn’t care or didn’t put in the effort, but because I didn’t have a clear way of practicing that actually worked.

Sometimes everything would fall into place — I’d play a solo, feel great, and think, yes, this is it. But then suddenly, the next day, it felt like I wasn’t improving at all. Everything I played sounded flat, uninspired, and I didn’t know what to do about it.

So I kept going. I stayed curious, stayed patient, and became resilient — trying different approaches, learning from different teachers, and slowly understanding what truly makes a difference. Not just what to practice, but how to practice.

Over the years — and through decades of teaching — I started collecting exercises, refining them, and replacing them with better ones. These are the same exercises I’ve used with my students again and again, because they simply work. They are easy to understand, practical, and designed to help you get unstuck and actually move forward.

This program is built from that process — a simple, structured way of working that helped me grow, and that I now want to share with you.

also i love to work with the looper 👀

it´s such a cool way of recording yourself on a daily basis wihtout recording yourself ... :)

If you have a looper, I really encourage you to use it during the course.

It’s a simple and powerful way to practice —
and it will help you hear your playing in a more musical context.

But don’t worry if you don’t have one.

You can easily use your smartphone to record yourself
and work with the exercises in the same way.

👉 What matters is not the equipment —
it’s that you can hear yourself and stay engaged with what you’re practicing.
